Two Worlds

One Studio

What happens when the living craft traditions of Mexico enter genuine dialogue with contemporary design?

We travel, we find, we work alongside master artisans whose craft is remarkable but whose designs have remained unchanged for decades — not from lack of vision, but from lack of access. Access to new ideas, new audiences, new conversations. We try to be that opening.

There are artisans across the country doing work of extraordinary precision and beauty, whose designs have stayed largely the same for decades and whose audience rarely extends beyond those who come to find them. We wanted to change that.

The result is objects that carry the weight of tradition and the clarity of new vision in equal measure — functional, yes, but closer to art. For our first two collections, we collaborated with ceramicist Pedro Hernández and his family in San José de Gracia, Michoacán. The second collection is in production now.
